Does my child need a Psycho-Educational Assessment or diagnosis to benefit from Orton-Gillingham tutoring?
No. This science-backed method can be effective with struggling readers whether or not they have a diagnosis.
What are your qualifications?
I hold a Bachelor of Education and have over 20 years of classroom teaching experience. I currently work as a Learning Strategist supporting students with diverse learning needs as well as their teachers and parents.
I am an accredited Orton-Gillingham Practitioner and regularly pursue ongoing professional development on topics including multi-sensory instruction, the science of reading and self-regulated strategy development for writing.
Do you offer online tutoring?
Multi-sensory learning is best facilitated in person, but I am open to offering a hybrid solution with at least one session per week in person and subsequent weekly sessions online.
Will you tutor in my home?
No. In person sessions are taught at my home in Lake Chaparral in SE Calgary.

Policies
Lesson Cancellation Policy
I offer full credit or a rescheduled lesson for any session that I have to cancel. Students must provide 24-hours notice to cancel or reschedule a session and rebook within the calendar month to receive full credit for the missed lesson.
Withdrawal Policy
Please provide 30 days notice to withdraw from tutoring services. Notice of less than 30 days will result in forfeited payment.
Payment Policy
Lessons are $75 for every individually tailored, science-backed tutoring session. Fees can be paid weekly or monthly through e-transfer or PayPal. Receipts are provided at the end of every month.
